Policy Guidelines
Class Attire
All students are required to wear the proper dance wear and dance shoes. (See the Dress Code on the website). Students should wear their hair up neatly. Jewelry should not be worn to class.
Weather Cancellations
The Downtown Dance Center will follow the Marlborough Public School cancellations. If inclement weather begins during the second part of the day and dance classes are canceled, there will be a message on the answering machine. Call 508-868-8721. If classes are canceled, students may make-up any lessons missed in a similar class, but there are no refunds for missed classes. Two snow days are built into the full year program. (See Covid-19 Policies which would override these guidelines)
School Vacations
The Downtown Dance Center will follow the Marlborough Public School vacation schedule. Check our Calendar for specific days.
These include:
Thanksgiving Break Wed – 25 Nov 2020 Fri – 27 Nov 2020
Christmas Break Wed – 23 Dec 2020 Fri – 1 Jan 2021
Mid-Winter Break Mon – 22 Feb 2021 Fri – 26 Feb 2021
Spring Break Mon – 26 Apr 2021 Fri – 30 Apr 2021
Holidays
The Downtown Dance Center will be open for all Monday Holidays, except Memorial Day. The studio will be closed for specific days detailed above.
Recital Costumes
Each costume cost can range from approximately $60 to $100.
A costume deposit of $60. is required for each class.
Your account will be charged:
- $20 in Oct
- $20 in Nov, and
- $20 in Dec.
Any remaining fee will be charged in January.
Costumes are ordered during Holiday Break.
If costume balances are not paid before holiday break, your costumes will not be ordered.
Confirmation
Upon registration, your dancer will receive a dance class confirmation stating his/her class(es), teachers, and start date. Also check our website intermittently for current information concerning your child’s dance classes.
Refunds – Payments
Monthly, Session or Yearly tuition is not refundable unless a class is canceled by Downtown Dance Center. Missed classes may be made up in a similar class if available. Once enrolled, students are charged for the full amount of the tuition for the remainder of the Session. (See the Tuition Schedule and Policies on the website)
